3.2mm Low Iron Solar Glass

Migo 3.2mm Low Iron Solar Glass is mainly used to generate electricity or heat, it is a specialized glass with higher light and solar transmittance than ordinary soda lime glass (window glass).

Migo 3.2mm Low Iron Solar Glass increases transmittance by changing the chemical composition of the glass, in particular by reducing the iron content of the glass.

3.2mm Low Iron Solar Glass can be classified into 2 types according to surface texture: Float Glass and Patterned Glass 

Low Iron Float Glass

Float glass has a perfectly smooth and even surface,  is used where light needs to be transmitted without changing the angle of the light beam. This is necessary when building concentrating PV modules.

Low Iron Patterned Glass

Patterned glass is used increasingly in PV modules and solar thermal collectors because of its higher transmittance. Migo patterned solar glass is formed with a prismatic pattern on one glass side and a matt pattern on the other side. This ensures the highest energy transmission over the whole solar spectrum.
